Hey, my website isn’t new! What if I already have people visiting my site?
For your selected MouseKick keywords, we run a search to see if you are getting any traffic for each selected keyword. If so, this traffic volume (calculated as an average of the last 12 months) will be your baseline. You will only be charged additional visitors higher than this level. For example, you select “purple flower vase” as one of your MouseKick keyword. You are already getting an average of 1500 unique visitors per month for the last 12 months for this phrase. After 4 months you are now getting 4000 visitors a month for “purple flower vase”. You would be billed for 2500 visitors and not the total 4000 visitors.
What kind of match type do you use for reporting and why?
We use phrase match because broad match can be well…too broad. We’ve found unrelated words can be grouped into broad groups. Additionally, we’ve found exact to be too specific. What phrase match means related to MouseKick is that if you select the phrase “honey jar” and you get traffic for “honey jar”, “yellow honey jar” and “honey bee jar” then you would be charged for “honey jar” and “yellow honey jar” but not “honey bee far”. The MouseKick keywords you select must be in order in phrase match to count.
When will I be billed? MouseKick is responsible for charging your account for services rendered in a timely manner with a valid payment method provided by the client. You authorize MouseKick to charge your credit card, charge card, debit card, PayPal, or financial institution account (herein “Payment Method”) for all charges to your accounts with MouseKick. When you provide a Payment Method to us, you confirm that you are permitted to use that Payment Method. You also authorize us to collect and store it on a secure off site location, along with other related transaction information. When you make a purchase, you authorize us (and our designated payment processor) to charge the full amount to the Payment Method you designate for the transaction but not to exceed your Daily Budget. Once your MouseKick account is created, your first billing threshold is set at $50. Your billing threshold is incrementally raised each time your account bill reaches the threshold before 30 days have ended. The initial billing threshold of $50 is first raised to $100, then to $400, and then to the final amount of $700. For example, let’s say Sally opens a MouseKick account and starts accruing costs:
- Day 1: Sally reaches her initial billing threshold of US$50. At that time, we charge her for the amount accrued (which might be in slight excess of the billing threshold if he accrued costs quickly). Sally’s billing threshold is increased to US$100. A new billing cycle begins.
- Day 4: Sally reaches his new billing threshold of US$100, triggering MouseKick to charge her for costs accrued. MouseKick again raises her billing threshold to US$400, and initiates a new billing cycle.
- Day 10: Sally accrues more than US$400 in charges. MouseKick charges her and raises her billing threshold to US$700. Sally will next be charged 30 days later or when she exceeds the final US$700 billing threshold, whichever comes first.
